COVID-19

Entertainment is returning to the Motcombe Memorial Hall as government restrictions ease following the Covid-19 lockdown.  For the time being audiences are restricted to a total of 40 people, who can be clustered in family groups of up to 6 people.  There will be no bar at performances, so those attending are invited to bring their own refreshments.

The Royal Opera House remains closed. When it opens, they advise that they will try to re-screen missed performances.  We will honour ROH streaming tickets already purchased for rescheduled or other performances.    We will also offer, on request, refunds on performances that have been cancelled.

Please note that those organizing performances are volunteers.  Those attending are requested to take away all litter and assist in keeping the hall clean for the next user

Entertainment at Motcombe Village Hall

We have recently installed a new “state of the art” 7.1. audio visual system in the Hall to provide you with a terrific viewing experience. A large satellite dish on the roof can connect us live with theatres, concert halls, opera houses and other venues all over the world, enabling us to bring the best of world culture to Motcombe in real time. This has all been made possible by generous funding from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development, administered by the Northern Dorset Local Action Group.  We will be rolling out a varied programme of shows, some live and some pre recorded, using our new equipment. You can purchase tickets online for these performances on this site. We anticipate high demand so be sure to book early.

Please note no tickets are issued.  In the booking process, you provide your name and you will receive an email payment receipt, which please bring to the performance.
